Dinghy day trip to Asinara

Imagine diving into one of the most iconic places in Sardinia,Asinara.

You will dive into the turquoise waters of the Protected Marine Area and sunbathe aboard the comfortable and spacious dinghy.

The beautiful and wild nature will be the star of this day in an inflatable boat. Plenty of stops for swimming, plenty of inlets and deserted beaches to relax on, from the famous Pelosa Beach to the Asinelli Beach.

And to enjoy a bit of Sardinia, what better time than an aperitif soaking in the sea with local delicacies and a glass of Vermentino?

What we will do

Departure is from Porto Torres at 9:00 am. Once all participants have settled aboard the dinghy (up to 12 people), we will set off in the direction of Asinara.

The first stop will be in front of La Pelosa, a beach that is now closed, but which we will be able to reach with a 20-metre swim.

After a half-hour stop, we will climb back on board and pass by the rocks overhanging the water near Stintino. From the dinghy, we will be able to admire the Grotta della Foca Monaca and the Grotta di Capo Falcone, listening to the skipper's tales and curiosities.

We will stop for a few more swims as we sail to the Spiaggia degli Asinelli (Donkeys' Beach), where we will stay for about an hour. Here we can walk and even get close to the white donkeys, sunbathe or explore the island.

Afterwards, we will head to the Piscine Naturali on Isola Piana, one of the most stunning spots on the Sardinian coast with a 3-metre seabed where we can dive into the transparent waters. Those who wish to stay on board the dinghy can listen to stories about Poseidonia and the local flora and fauna told by the captain.

Around midday, we will arrive at the Baia delle Conchiglie, in the Fornelli area. This will be the ideal place to have an aperitif with sausage, cheese, carasau bread, and a glass of vermentino or a beer. The aperitif is plentiful and can replace lunch, but those who wish can bring a packed lunch from home.

We will then head to Cala Grande and Fornelli. We will travel in an ecological manner, using an electric motor that will allow us to sail in silence and without polluting.

In the afternoon, we will explore the Punta Lunga beach, a quiet and wild place, Li Giorri and Cala Scalpellini, where we will toast to the day spent together.

We will return to Stintino at around 5.30 p.m., for a total duration of about eight and a half hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is open to all, with no age limit. Children aged 0 to 2 years participate free of charge. It is not necessary to know how to swim.

The activity is accessible to people with mobility difficulties.

Other information

The excursion takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.

The dinghy is 7 metres long and 2.7 metres wide, with a capacity of 12 seats, and is equipped with an awning, internal benches with a kitchenette, a freshwater shower, and a minibar.

Itis not possible to bring dogs, as Asinara is a protected area.

You can arrive by public transport or park a few metres from the meeting point.
