Full description

You know that island that doesn’t exist? It actually does exist, and it’s called Asinara.

Climb aboard a comfortable motorboat for an adventure lasting around 8 hours that will make you forget the mainland! Accompanied by a skipper, you’ll set off from Porto Torres to discover unspoilt coves, cliffs and local history.

The bonus? A relaxing stop for an aperitif, surrounded by the beauty of the marine protected area!

What we will do

Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time at the meeting point in Porto Torres (SS). Once all participants have boarded the motorboat, we will set off for Asinara.

Our first stop will be off La Pelosa, a beach that now has a limited capacity, but which we should be able to reach with a 20-metre swim. Weather permitting, we’ll continue on to the cliffs of Capo Falcone, with their panoramic views overlooking the sea.

We will then enter the heart of the Asinara Nature Reserve, where we’ll cruise in complete tranquillity. We’ll disembark on Spalmatore beach for about an hour, for a close-up encounter with the island’s characteristic white donkeys. Afterwards, we’ll head to the Natural Pools on Isola Piana, one of the most spectacular spots on the Sardinian coast, with a depth of 3 metres where we can take a dip in the crystal-clear waters.

Around midday, we’ll arrive at Baia delle Conchiglie, in the Fornelli area. It’ll be the perfect spot for an aperitif with sausage, cheese, carasau bread, a glass of Vermentino or a beer. We’ll then set course for Fornelli, where we’ll go ashore for lunch – which you can buy from the local kiosk or bring your own packed lunch. Anyone who wishes can take the opportunity to visit the former maximum-security prison.

In the afternoon, we’ll explore the area around Punta Barbarossa or Cala Grande, enjoying a final swim before heading back. The trip will last a total of 8 hours.
