Do you like to think that legends are just stories? Wait until you see the Faraglioni of the Cyclopes up close: you will really feel like you see Polyphemus lurking!
Set off from the picturesque port of Aci Trezza and sail along the Riviera dei Ciclopi to the magic of Isola Bella, a pearl nestled at the foot of Taormina.
Between swimming stops, snorkelling and tasting Sicilian specialities, you will experience 5 hours of pure Mediterranean beauty.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Aci Trezza (CT).
We will be welcomed by the skipper, ready to set sail with us on board a comfortable dinghy. After a brief introduction on the myth of Ulysses and Polyphemus, we will sail around the Faraglioni andLachea Island, with a stop for swimming and snorkelling in the Protected Marine Reserve.
We will then head towards Aci Castello and admire from the sea the majestic Norman Castle, built on a lava cliff overhanging the sea: a perfect photo stop! We will then continue on to Santa Tecla, Santa Maria la Scala and Grotta delle Colombe, with short stops for swimming and snorkelling among submerged reefs, inlets and small natural caves.
After crossing the waters in front of the port of Riposto, with panoramic views of Mount Etna dominating the coast, we will arrive at the bay of Giardini Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily. From here we will continue to the jewel of the tour: Isola Bella, nestled in an inlet at the foot of Taormina.
We will stop with the dinghy in front of Isola Bella and have free time for swimming, relaxing, and snorkelling. During the break, lunch (in the morning shift) or anaperitif (in the afternoon shift) will be served, with a selection of Sicilian specialities such as arancini, snacks, pane cunzatu, fresh fruit and typical sweets, accompanied by Etna wine and cold drinks. The menu may vary depending on the season.
After the stop, we will begin the return journey to Aci Trezza; weather permitting, we will take another dip near Santa Tecla or Capo Mulini.
The activity will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone, with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible for wheelchair users or persons with reduced mobility.

The activity takes place from May to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants.
Theitinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat used is an 8-metre dinghy, with awning, shower, climbing ladder, sundeck, stereo and USB port. You stay barefoot on board.
In the event of food allergies or intolerances, alternatives are not guaranteed.
Small dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport. There are free and paid parking spaces near the harbour. A transfer service for up to 9 people is also available (extra charge depending on distance) between the areas from Catania to Messina: to request this, contact the organisers after booking confirmation.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
