Have you always dreamt of exploring the deep sea like a real diver?
Approach the world of diving in Golfo Aranci in Sardinia, with a theoretical-practical lesson on the beach and a first dive in open water.
Thanks to the experienced instructors who will be with you, the sea will soon have no more secrets!
What we will do
The meeting point is at the diving centre in Golfo Aranci, 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking. Here we will meet our instructor and move to the beach to begin the activity.
We will start with an in-depth briefing to learn the basics of diving, safety rules, and how the equipment works. We will then enter the water with the instructor at a depth of about one metre and do some preparatory exercises.
Gradually we will move into deeper water to acclimatise, become familiar with the equipment and learn breathing techniques. This theoretical-practical part on the beach will last about two hours.
Afterwards it will be time for our first open-water dive. On board a rubber dinghy, we will reach the point chosen by the instructor for the dive, at Capo Figari or Figarolo, and we will go down into the water to a maximum depth of 12 metres, accompanied by our diving guide.
Before our eyes will open up a scenario populated by an incredible number of seabed inhabitants: starfish, urchins, groupers and many other wonders. The dive will last between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on the consumption of the tank; at the end we will return to the diving centre.
The duration of the activity is approximately 4 hours, including 2 hours of theoretical-practical lessons on the beach and 2 hours of open-water diving in an inflatable boat.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 10 and up.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the diving centre, but can participate in the activity on their own.
To participate, one must be able to swim and be in good health, without heart, circulatory or respiratory diseases. It is also recommended not to dive 24 hours before a flight.
Other information
The activity is available from April to November.
In agreement with the organisers after booking confirmation, it is possible to divide the activity into two parts and carry out the dive within 15 days of the theory-practice lesson.
Dinghies ranging from 7.5 m to 10 m in length, equipped with an ascending ladder and buoyancy aids, are used for the outing. The boats are not equipped with a canopy or shower.
Outdoor showers with hot and cold water and toilets are available at the diving centre. Personal belongings can be left in the care of the staff during the activity.
For those arriving by public transport, the railway station is approximately 1.5 km from the diving centre. On-site parking spaces are available for a fee.
