Discover the most interesting dive sites in theCapo Carbonara Marine Protected Area with a3-hour excursion.
Together with professional guides, you will do a double dive to discover a true natural paradise near Villasimius, characterised by granite rocks, underwater meadows, and a huge variety of flora and fauna. You will admire octopuses, shrimps, moray eels, peaceful barracudas and swim between the yellow of the sea daisies and the bright red of the gorgonians.
The activity is intended for divers with an Open Water Diver licence.
What we will do
We will meet at the diving centre in Villasimius, in the province of Cagliari. On our arrival, we will be welcomed by the guides, who will explain the activity to us in an initial briefing and carry out an equipment check. Afterwards, we will board the dinghy in the direction of theCapo Carbonara Marine Protected Area.
The area stretches over 34 km of coastline from Capo Boi to the promontory north of Punta Porceddus and was established in 1999 to protect an incredibly diverse flora and fauna. We will have the opportunity to admire gorgonians, peaceful barracudas, octopuses, shrimps and lobsters, moray eels and much more.
By rubber dinghy, we will reach the first chosen dive site (which may vary depending on the level and weather conditions). After donning the equipment, we will dive into the crystal-clear waters to admire the beautiful seabed and the creatures that inhabit it.
The dive will last approximately one hour. Back on board, we will be offered a snack as we head to the second dive site. Here, too, we will be able to admire a submerged spectacle of granite rocks and underwater prairies, between the yellow of the sea daisies and the red of the gorgonia.
Finally, we return to the diving centre. Between briefings, dives and transfers, the activity lasts a total of about three hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is intended for certified divers with at least a Level 1(Open Water Diver) licence.
The minimum age for participation is 14.
