Double scuba dives in the Argentario sea

Experience an unforgettable day of adventure and relaxation. Set off from Porto Santo Stefano with a group of experienced divers and instructors and dive into the crystal-clear waters of theArgentario, discovering its seabed for a double dive.

Depending on the itinerary planned for the day, you will be able to admire the white granite seabed ofGiglio Island, contemplate sponges and gorgonians among the volcanic rocks of Giannutri, or be captivated by the red corals ofArgentario.

For this activity , the Open Water Diver patent or of a higher level is required.

What we will do

We will meet in Porto Santo Stefano at 8.30 am. Here, participants will be able to unload their equipment and leave theircars in the agreed car park.

After a brief acquaintance with the entire crew, we will be able to define the itinerary of the excursion , which may take place along the Argentario promontory, Giglio Island, or Giannutri. The decision will be made according to the level of participants and the marine weather conditions.

Once the itinerary has been chosen, we will start our route, which will be a total of 14-15 miles in the day. In the Tuscan sea, the white granite seabed ofGiglio Island, the volcanic rocks of Giannutri, with a flora rich in corals, sponges and gorgonians even at shallow depths, or theArgentario, populated by red corals and a truly varied flora and fauna, await us.

After a maximum of 50 minutes of navigation we will make our first 45-minute dive, followed by a snack on board that varies according to the season. In winter, hot tea and tomato bruschetta will be served, and in summer, bruschetta, fruit and cold drinks.

Refreshed by the food, we will resume our navigation towards the second dive point. We will dive again in the crystal-clear waters of the Argentario to discover the seabed for a total of 45 minutes.

Afterwards we can relax in the sun and enjoy our lunch cooked on board, with a good plate of pasta, fresh fruit, wine, water, soft drinks, and coffee. Inwinter we will return to the harbour around 16:30, and in summer around 17:30, after enjoying a last swim.

In total, the activity will last about 8½ hours.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 10, provided they hold anOpen Water Diver licence or higher(Junior Open Water Diver for children).

Children with a parent's release do not need to be accompanied.

Any accompanying persons may participate for the price of €75, including snorkelling equipment, snack and lunch.

One of the two boats used for the excursion is wheelchair-accessible, and an HSA diving instructor for the disabled is available.

Other information

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 10 participants.

Please contact the organisers 24 hours before the start of the activity to confirm the activity, depending on the weather conditions. The detailed itinerary of the day will be determined close to the start, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Depending on the number of participants, the group may be divided between 2 boats, Gigliola and Negis, with a capacity of 28 and 18 people respectively. In addition, on the boat there may be people engaged in another of our diving activities, such as sea baptism or snorkelling.

Both boats are equipped with a kitchen, bathroom with hot shower, sunbathing area, and a stern beach with a double ladder. Dogs are not allowed on board.

Thecomplete diving equipment (wetsuit, fins, mask, footwear) can be hired from the diving centre at a cost of € 30 or, if you have it, you can bring it from home.

Alternative options for lunch can be requested by informing us of allergies and intolerances in good time.

Caution! After the dive it is essential not to take flights for 24 hours.

A car park is available to leave your car near the meeting point.
