Full description
Cycle along the railway line between Monti and Calangianus, now decommissioned and transformed into a fascinating bicycle route, among cork oaks and granite rocks.
An expert guide will accompany you to discover this corner of Gallura, ideal for animmersion in nature and tranquillity, far from the hustle and bustle of crowded beaches.
What we will do
The appointment is at the time selected during the booking process in Olbia. Just the time for handing over the e-bikes and a brief introductory briefing, and we will set off together with the guide who will tell us about the history, characteristics and traditions of the area.
The cycle path that follows the old track route is particularly evocative, winding through unspoilt nature, among cork oaks and granite rocks that take on strange and bizarre shapes.
Arriving in Calangianus , we will continue for a few more kilometres to reach the Tomb of the Giants of Pescaredda, a monument from the Nuragic period, of which the guide will reveal all the secrets. On the way back, we can stop at a refreshment point to refresh ourselves and taste typical Sardinian products.
The route will be mainly on dirt roads, with some short stretches on asphalt roads. The length is about 40 km with moderate altitude difference and suitable for everyone, with the possibility of using assisted pedalling if necessary.
In total, the activity will last approximately 4 hours.
