Bari has two souls: that of the alleys full of voices and that which you discover by slowly sailing past the city!
On this exclusive gozzo tour you will sail past Bari Vecchia, the medieval quarter and historic buildings overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
For one and a half hours a local skipper will accompany you between stories, snorkelling stops and wonderful views, while also offering you a delicious Apulian aperitif!
What we will do
The appointment is 5 minutes before the indicated time at the meeting point in Bari (BA) . Waiting for you will be Alfonso, a Bari skipper and profound connoisseur of the city, who will accompany you during this private gozzo experience along the coast.
After departing, we will leave behind the traffic of the waterfront to observe Bari from a slower and more authentic perspective. Sailing past the city you will see the outline of Bari Vecchia, the walls of the medieval quarter and some of its landmarks overlooking the Adriatic Sea, such as the Basilica of San Nicola, Santa Scolastica and the Fortino.
During the tour Alfonso will share stories, curiosities and details of Bari's seafaring tradition, talking about the habits of fishermen and the daily relationship between the city and the sea. The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal, more like an outing with a local friend than a classic sightseeing tour.
As it is a private experience, you will be able to agree with the skipper on the pace of the trip and decide where to stay longer to take photographs or enjoy the view of the city from the water.
During the excursion you will make one or two stops for a dip in the sea and can relax on board while enjoying an aperitif (included) with prosecco, beer and Apulian snacks such as taralli.
The activity will last a total of 1½ hours and will end with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 6 are free of charge: please contact the organisers at the contact details on your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence.
The boat is not accessible to people with motor disabilities or walking difficulties.

The experience takes place all year round and is intended for private groups of a minimum of 2 people.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The boat available for the tour is an authentic Bari wooden gozzo, 6. 50 m long and with traditional blue colouring. It is also equipped with an awning, cushions, a climbing ladder and a stereo system.

Dogs are not allowed.
On-site parking is available for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
