Exclusive hot air balloon ride over the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines

Aboard your wicker basket, you will fly over the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park, immersed in the magical silence ofdawn.

Guided by an expert pilot, you will enjoy the unique thrill of flight in absolute tranquillity and safety.

What we will do

The appointment is 30 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Carpineti (RE); time and meeting point are approximate and will be confirmed to you by the pilot before the experience takes place. Your expert guide will be there to welcome you: you can prepare the hot-air balloon with her or simply watch the operations. Having warmed the air inside the balloon, it will be time to take off!

You will be carried away by the wind, at its speed and direction, above the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park. The landscape below will be a real surprise: rock formations, small mountain hamlets, dense forests, green expanses and silhouettes of higher mountains in the background.

Many species of wild animals find refuge in this environment: if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of some from above! The magical atmosphere of dawn and the absolute quiet around you will add to the special atmosphere.

Upon landing, you will be offered a breakfast of typical products. If this is your first time on board a hot-air balloon, there will be a'baptism of flight' ritual, with a sparkling wine toast and the presentation of a certificate signed directly by the pilot. After that, you will be escorted by the crew back to the starting point.

The activity lasts about three hours, of which one hour is actual flying time.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone. There are restrictions for pregnant women, people with serious heart problems or those with limited mobility in their lower limbs.

The minimum age to participate is 8 years, with a minimum height of 120 cm.

Important! Time and meeting point are approximate and will be confirmed to you by the pilot by e-mail generally 3 to 4 days before the experience takes place. Remember to check your inbox and, if you do not receive a message from the pilot, please contact him/her at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.

The activity is available on the dates indicated in the calendar, and is intended for private groups of up to 6 people.

In flight, the temperature does not vary significantly from the ground, but it is always recommended to dress in layers.
