Full description
Live anunforgettable experience flying over the suggestive Valle dei Calanchi on board a private hot-air balloon, among archaeological remains, surreal landscapes and enchanting villages.
You will be near Civita di Bagnoregio, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy for its timeless appearance and magical atmosphere. Let the wind blow you around in a wicker basket and enjoy the breathtaking view.
At theend of the flight, refreshments of typical products and a glass of champagne will be waiting for you totoast together!
What we will do
The meeting point is near the 'Alessandro Pompei' stadium in Bagnoregio (VT). You will fly early in the morning to take advantage of the best wind conditions and cooler temperatures. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the pilot and ground crew and you will be able to watch the preparation of the hot air balloon.
You will then board the basket and be ready to take off. The balloon's course will be decided by the currents of the day and , although the pilots' experience can predict it, it will never be exactly programmable: that is also the fascination of hot air ballooning, relying on the wind!
In any case, you will be flying over the Valle dei Calanchi, between Lake Bolsena and the Tiber Valley, a unique area for the incredible shapes of the landscape. You will also be able to admire from above Civita di Bagnoregio, a charming village in Lazio where time seems to have stopped.
The flight lasts about an hour. Once you land, you will find the ground staff ready to take you back to your starting point, but not before celebrating with a toast and a taste of typical local products!
The experience lasts a total of about 3.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for everyone, from 8 years old and upwards, with a minimum height of 120 cm. No special requirements are required, other than a good state of health. Pregnant women, heart patients and people with walking problems are not allowed to fly.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
