If you believe that the waters of the sea hold fascinating secrets, team up with an experienced skipper and embark on this boat or dinghy tour in the Portofino Marine Protected Area.
As well as visiting the magnificent Portofino, you can snorkel near the statue of Christ of the Abyss at San Fruttuoso and discover the beauty of its marine habitat.
During the 3½-hour experience, you will also be offered a delicious aperitif of white wine and typical Ligurian products such as focaccia genovese col pesto and fried anchovies.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Sestri Levante (GE), where our skipper will be waiting for us. We will immediately board the boat or dinghy (depending on availability) and start the tour!
First we will sail to the beautiful Portofino, which will be the perfect backdrop for the photographs we will take on the boat. If we wish, we can go ashore and visit it for about 40 minutes.
Then we will set off again for San Fruttuoso, passing through the Portofino Protected Marine Area and stopping for about 40 minutes near the statue of Christ of the Abyss. This is a bronze monument that has stood on the bottom of San Fruttuoso Bay at a depth of 17 metres since 1954 and is a destination for many scuba divers.
We will take the opportunity to do some snorkelling in a stretch of coastline rich in marine species to observe: the skipper will accompany us into the water and show us around the area.
Back on board the boat, we will head for a cove not far from San Fruttuoso, where we will have an hour for a last swim and a delicious aperitif with prosecco, soft drinks and typical Ligurian products such as focaccia.
The experience, which will last a total of 3. 5 hours, will end with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 5. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a waiver by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The activity is available every day from April to October for private groups of up to 7 persons.
The organiser has 3 boats, which will be used depending on availability: 7-metre and 7. 5-metre dinghies, equipped with a sunshade, awning, freshwater shower, towels, bar fridge and stereo; 7. 5-metre boat equipped with a sunshade, freshwater shower, towels, bar fridge, stereo and WC. It is necessary to be barefoot on board.

Dogs are allowed on board.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and there is paid parking available nearby.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
