In the heart of Salento, there is a corner of the countryside where you can live in close contact with the world of birds in a lively and colourful atmosphere.
Without going all the way to South America, you can feel your exotic streak unleashed in Salice Salentino, in the province of Lecce. Yellow-blue Macaws, Harlequins and Military Parrots: a riot of colours for a colourful and educational one-hour experience , to be enjoyed with wings spread!
Maybe you don't know it, but with their very long lives parrots are among the birds that create the deepest bond with human beings. Don't miss the opportunity to make an unforgettable friendship!
What we will do
We will meet 15 minutes before the activity start time at the Salice Salentino (LE) estate, in the heart of Salento. An expert guide will welcome us and immerse us in the world of birds of prey through a didactic and immersive introduction.
Next, we will move on to thearea dedicated to parrots in all their colours. Equipped with dried fruit and nuts, we will approach these cute yellow-blue, green and red birds.
We will get to know different varieties of macaws up close with their long feathers and liveliness, and learn more about their behaviour and habits.
We will also learn more about the deep connection they have with humans and, under the gaze of the guide, create a moment of direct connection that we will remember for a long time.
The whole experience lasts about an hour.
