Combining history, taste and fun? An all-Italian speciality. Or rather, from Veneto!
Climb aboard a fiery sleigh-bus and let yourself be transported to the top of theAsiago Plateau to discover the history of Italy.
Reach the Rifugio Forte Verena, retrace the traces of the First World War and celebrate this unique experience with a homemade sandwich at sunset.
What we will do
The meeting will take place in Verenetta, in the municipality of Roana (VI), 15 minutes before the time agreed at the time of booking. We will be welcomed by our guide, ready to take us on anadventure of history, taste and wonder!
We will climb aboard our toboggan, an exceptional means of transport that will take us to the top of theAsiago Plateau. Once we have taken our seats, we will begin our ascent, which will last about 30 minutes, at the end of which we will finally reach the Forte Verena Refuge.
This place, in addition to its timeless charm, has an interesting historical legacy to offer: it is, in fact, the point from which the cannonade that sanctioned Italy's entry into the First World War, on 24 May 1915, departed. We will have the unique opportunity to visit the fort for about half an hour free of charge.
We will be at a height of around 2020 metres, with a 360 degree panoramic view. Having had our fill of history and beauty, it will be time to put our legs under the table: a home-made sandwich will be waiting for us, filled with delicious local products. To wash down the meal, a well-deserved beer overlooking the sunset.
At the end of our stay at high altitude, we will re-board the sleigh-bus to embark on an approximately 30-minute descent. The whole experience will last about three hours.

The activity is available from December to March and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
The experience is strongly conditioned by the weather: contact the organiser 2 days before the scheduled activity for confirmation of the activity (you will receive contact details by e-mail with the booking confirmation.

A snowmobile will be used to pull the toboggan; in some cases it may be replaced by a quad bike.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; parking is available on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
