Full description

For those who want to put themselves to the test and discover the world of survival, we offer a survival experience in the Ticino Park.

You’ll learn to navigate an unspoilt environment and manage the stress that can arise in unexpected situations. You’ll find yourself in a very dense woodland in the Ticino Park, the last remaining stretch of primeval forest in Italy.

An experience comprising a range of fun and educational activities —that will push you to exceed your limits!

What we will do

The meeting with the instructors is scheduled for 9. 00 am in Vergiate. On arrival, we will be welcomed by the instructors, who will briefly outline the day’s activities, after which we will head into the woods of the Ticino Park.

This will be followed by a brief explanation (lasting around 15–20 minutes) of how humans act and react in unexpected situations.

We’ll then have a go at a sort of adventure course: we’ll tackle a rope bridge and a zip line, set at a height of 2 metres, in about 15 minutes. Afterwards, we’ll tackle a 4-metre-long Tibetan bridge using a system of knots and learn a few handy tips to put into practice if needed.

After that, we’ll discover the various principles of navigation and be shown how maps and compasses work. We’ll also learn how to pinpoint our position on the map and measure the azimuth and the distance to be covered.

This will be followed by an activity where we’ll put what we’ve learnt into practice: we’ll be asked to reach a specific point marked on the map – the spot where, in an emergency, help might be available. The instructor will follow the group without intervening, allowing us to reach our destination on our own.

The experience will end after 4 hours, at around 1. 00 pm.
