Join our horse ride for experienced riders in Ostia: accompanied by an equestrian guide, you’ll venture into the Castel Fusano pine forest until you reach Ostia Lido beach.
A 2-hour experience, riding on the wings of freedom!
What we will do
We’ll meet 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Ostia (RM). The riding guide who will be accompanying us on this adventure will be there to welcome us!
Once all participants have gathered, we’ll proceed to allocate the Friesian and Spanish horses. We’ll then head out to the riding arena, mount our horses and go over the basics of horse riding. The guide will provide all the information you need to ensure a worry-free experience. This initial session will last approximately 15 minutes.
And here we are, ready for our horse ride: we’ll venture into the Castel Fusano pine forest, a stunning natural setting just a stone’s throw from the capital; we’ll ride through the characteristic vegetation, immersed in the colours and scents of this corner of Rome. We’ll then reach Ostia Lido beach: we’ll ride along the seafront and, at the guide’s discretion, we might even gallop on the sand!
Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of approximately 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The hike is suitable for 18 years and over.
A maximum weight of 90 kg is required to participate.
The excursion is reserved for experienced riders: to participate, you must be able to walk and trot; if the experience requirement is not met, the excursion may not take place at the guide's discretion. Different gaits may be requested during the walk at the guide's discretion.
Other information
The experience takes place from October to April on a private basis.
Dogs are not permitted.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
