From transformation into a Super Saiyan to becoming a falconer is a moment's notice.
Take part in our experience with birds of prey in Cantalupa: you will learn about fascinating species, deepen your knowledge of the art of falconry, and put on the guise of a "falconer for a day" by letting a bird of prey fly over your fist!
A five-hour experience that will give you the power to fly on the wings of adventure.
What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Cantalupa (TO). We will be welcomed by the aviary-guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
From the very first step, we will immediately find ourselves surrounded by aviaries inhabited by numerous specimens including Olympia (the European griffon vulture) , Zeus (the eagle owl) , Freya (the Harris's buzzard) and Yoda the barn owl!
It is in this scenario that the first part of the experience will take place: a theoretical lesson on the world of falconry, with insights ranging from the biology of the animal to the tools used for training. This first moment will last about two hours. At the end of the theory lesson, there will be a break of about 1 hour during which we will have free time to eat our packed lunch.
And here we are ready for the second part of the experience: we will complete the transformation into a "falconer for a day" and interact directly with the animals. We will put into practice what we learnt during the theory lesson, entering into the everyday life of a falconer: we will take the animal from the block, weigh it, prepare it for flight and finally make it fly by calling it to our fist. This second moment will last approximately 2 hours.
The experience will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 8 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult who must pay the participant fee if they wish to attend the experience.
The activity is accessible to people with non-motor disabilities. Please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate the presence of a person with a non-motor disability.
Other information
The experience takes place all year round on Saturdays and Sundays and is confirmed on reaching a minimum number of 2 participants.
Don't forget to bring a packed lunch: there are no refreshment points nearby.
Dogs are not allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
