Full description
Have you ever noticed afootprint in the snow and wondered which animal it belonged to?
Finally, an environmental excursion guide will give you the answer: take part in our snowshoe hike in Pescocostanzo, in search of the footprints of the inhabitants of the Sant'Antonio forest. All this in a splendid natural setting of 'record-breaking' beauty, amidst tall, centuries-old beech trees.
A 2-hour experience to share with the whole family!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Pescocostanzo (AQ). Welcoming you on your arrival will be me, your environmental hiking guide!
Once all the participants have gathered, I will proceed with checking individualequipment and handing over theequipment. This will be followed by a briefing, during which I will give you more information about what we will be doing, where we will be going and what we will be seeing.
With snowshoes on our feet, we will walk at an altitude of 1,250 metres: we will enter the Sant'Antonio forest, one of the most famous monumental forests in central Italy. Surrounded by tall, centuries-old beech trees, we will go in search of the tracks left by the animals that live there: deer, roe deer, wild boar, foxes and badgers. Along the way we will also encounter theHermitage of Sant'Antonio, an attraction of the area. In the course of the exploration, I will not fail to provide in-depth descriptions!
We will complete the loop tour and return to the meeting point after covering 2 km with +50 m of altitude difference. The snowshoe hike will last 1 .5 hours; the experience will last a total of 2 hours.
