Man does not live by bread alone: throw in a bit of hops and the day takes a whole new turn!
We look forward to welcoming you to Campagnano di Roma for a guided tour of the Agrilab farm: a stroll through the fields, past the farm animals and the hop field, with an explanation of the processes and philosophy behind their delicious products.
And to round it off? A tasting of two farm-brewed craft beers, a trio of bruschetta and a special hop-based amaro!
What we will do
The meeting point is at the selected time at Agrilab in Campagnano di Roma (RM). We will be met by the guide, who will welcome us to the farm.
Once the group has gathered, we’ll begin with a guided walk of about 30 minutes along a flat circular route across the farm’s grounds. We’ll look at the crops, the animals on the educational farm and the hop field, whilst the guide tells us interesting facts about the local natural environment.
We’ll then head to the tasting room to learn more about the production of farm-based craft beer. We’ll discover the history of the project and how Agrilab uses home-grown ingredients such as two-row barley, hops, aromatic herbs and local spices to create ever-changing seasonal beers.
We’ll then take our seats outdoors or indoors for the tasting itself . We’ll sample two different types of craft beer, paired with a trio of bruschetta made with bread and produce from the farm, which varies according to the season.
To round off the experience in style, we’ll enjoy a hop-infused beer liqueur, accompanied by a homemade biscuit made with barley bran. At the end of the experience, anyone who wishes can pop into the shop to buy some local specialities.
The experience will last approximately 2. 5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The beer tasting is for adults only. Any accompanying minors may take part in the experience at a reduced rate.
The tasting room is wheelchair accessible, whilst the walk takes place on grass and is only suitable for wheelchairs designed for off-road use.

The experience takes place all year round and is confirmed provided there is a minimum of two people.
In the event of bad weather, the tasting and some of the activities will take place indoors.
Options are available for people with food allergies and intolerances: the tasting is vegetarian by default, with vegan and gluten-free options available (including gluten-free beer, subject to availability) . Please contact the venue using the details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know of any dietary requirements.
Dogs are allowed, provided they are small and kept on a lead.
Free on-site parking is available for guests. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
