Cooking without herbs is like buying a Ferrari and leaving it locked away in the garage: a waste of potential!
Switch off and let yourself be enveloped by the slow rhythms of the countryside in Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. A one-night stay awaits you in a cosy farmhouse surrounded by woods and scenic footpaths. What’ll make this getaway special is a cookery workshop dedicated to foraging for wild herbs and the secrets of fresh pasta, topped off with a delicious traditional lunch!

What we will do
Check-in is from 5. 00 pm to 7. 00 pm at the farmhouse in Civitella di Romagna, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation.
You will stay in a comfortable double room with an en-suite bathroom, bed linen and towels, complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi. The property is nestled in the natural surroundings of the Apennines and does not have TVs in the rooms – a choice designed to promote tranquillity; a kettle and hairdryer are available on request.
As there is no on-site restaurant for dinner, the staff will recommend excellent partner restaurants, all within easy walking distance. In the morning, you’ll be treated to a vegetarian, locally sourced buffet breakfast ( included) , featuring homemade cakes, eggs from the henhouse, fresh fruit, juices and a selection of hot drinks.
The activity included in your stay takes place on the morning of your check-in or check-out day, depending on the arrangements made with the organisers at the time of booking. You’ll start with a pleasant walk through the fields surrounding the property, during which an expert guide will reveal interesting facts, health benefits and culinary uses of the wild herbs you’ll be picking together. And after a stop at the henhouse to collect fresh eggs, you’ll head to the kitchen to get your hands dirty… literally!
During the hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to roll out the pasta with a rolling pin and prepare traditional ‘tortelli alla lastra’. The experience will conclude with a lunch ( included) featuring the dishes you’ve prepared, accompanied by water, wine, coffee and a Romagna-style ciambella. Before you leave, you’ll also receive a handout with all the recipes to try at home!

This experience is for those aged 18 and over. You may request to add one child per room, subject to payment of a supplement on arrival.
The property is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for people with reduced mobility.

The experience takes place from April to October, on Fridays and Saturdays. Check-in is available from 5. 00 pm to 7. 00 pm ( check-in from 2. 00 pm is possible upon prior request) , whilst check-out must be completed by 10. 00 am at the latest.
The cookery class is not a private session; you may share it with other participants. Furthermore, it may take place on the day of check-in or check-out, depending on the arrangements made with the organisers at the time of booking.
Options are available for people with food allergies or intolerances: please contact the guide using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know of any specific requirements. However, the pasta and tortelli will be prepared using standard flour, so we cannot guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination.
Dogs are not permitted.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
