Full description
A vintage Fiat 500 isn’t meant to sit in a museum. And in fact, you get to drive this one.
You’ll set off from Montelupone on a four-hour tour taking in Montecosaro, Civitanova Alta and Morrovalle, along country roads, past medieval walls and with panoramic views of the Macerata area.
Between one bend and the next, there’ll also be time to enjoy the very best the Marche has to offer: wine, olive oil and a break amidst the scents of a lavender field!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the time selected when booking in Montelupone (MC), where our guide and our restored vintage Fiat 500 will be waiting for us.
Before setting off, we’ll find out how the car works and have a short test drive to get to grips with the gearbox, clutch and four gears. Once ready, we’ll start the engine and follow the guide, who’ll lead the way in their 500 for the entire route.
From Montelupone, we’ll head towards Montecosaro, where we’ll enter the historic village and drive along the ramparts, enjoying the views stretching all the way to the sea. We’ll also stop at the Giardini del Cassero, where we’ll have time for a stroll and, if we wish, a coffee before getting back behind the wheel. The tour will last around 1 hour. We’ll then head to Civitanova Alta, with its walls, narrow streets and panoramic viewpoints – perfect for a photo stop.
But this journey through the Marche region is also about the food. Along the way, we’ll stop at a winery, where we’ll sample local wines, and at an olive oil mill to discover and taste the local olive oil. After stops of around 30 minutes each, we’ll then head towards Morrovalle, continuing to explore the hinterland along scenic roads and through historic town centres.
We’ll park our 500 here and change the pace completely: we’ll head into a lavender field for a sensory journey through nature, surrounded by scents and essences. Anyone who wishes can add a gourmet picnic basket to enjoy amongst the olive trees (optional and to be paid for on the spot) .
Finally, we’ll start up our 500 again and return to Montelupone in about 10 minutes. The experience will last a total of around 4 hours.

The cars feature refurbished and customised interiors and upgraded engines, enabling them to tackle even uphill sections with greater agility.
