Experience the thrill of breathing underwater like a real diver with aScuba Diving experience on Giglio Island.
From Porto Ercole you will embark to reach this splendid island, located within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. Tuscan Archipelago National Park. You will discover wonderful sea beds rich in biodiversity, in the company of experienced diving instructors.
It will be an unforgettable 'Baptism of the Sea'!
What we will do
We will meet at the diving centre in Porto Ercole (GR) at 8.15 a.m., 15 minutes before the start of the activity. The experience will begin with an introductory briefing and a theoretical-practical lesson on the fundamentals of diving. Then, having prepared all thenecessary equipment (included in the participation fee), we will embark to reach theisland of Giglio.
After about 60 minutes of sailing, we will arrive at the dive site and dive into the water together with the instructor. The "Baptism of the Sea" takes place under the close supervision of the guides, who will never lose sight of us and will accompany us step by step through this incredible experience.
In addition to the thrill of breathing underwater and finding ourselves in a new dimension, we will have the chance to discoverone of the most beautiful islands in Italy. The island of Giglio, in fact, is famous for its crystal-clear waters and pristine seabed rich in biodiversity. We will spot a multitude of fish and a marine nature that will leave us speechless.
Theguided underwater dive takes about 30 minutes. There will then be another stop where we can snorkel (again, equipment is included). Snacks and drinks will be provided on board, plus lunch (included in the fee).
Return to Porto Ercole is scheduled at around 16:30. The activity has a total duration of approximately 8 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is suitable for everyone from 10 years old and up. No patent is required, but you must be able to swim.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round, subject to weather and sea conditions, and is confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants.
The participation fee includesfull equipment. It is possible to rent an underwater video camera at an extra cost of €25 (payable locally).
It is strongly discouraged to scuba dive 24 hours before an aeroplane flight, as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles inside the tissues that can obstruct blood flow.
