If you have always wanted to breathe underwater and discover what is hidden on the seabed, you really cannot miss our'Baptism of thesea' in the Gulf of Poets in Liguria.
Before diving in, you will follow a mini-lesson to learn the basics of how to walk on the seabed safely. safely. Afterwards, you will dive to a depth of 5 metres with a professional instructor in the waters of Portovenere or Lerici, in the province of La Spezia.
Explore the sandy seabed, come into contact with the marine flora and fauna and have amemorable experience that you will definitely want to repeat!
What we will do
The meeting is at 2.30 p.m. at the diving centre in Lerici, in the province of La Spezia, where we will be welcomed by the instructor. The diving centre is located below the Monumental Castle of San Terenzo, in one of the most beautiful and evocative bays in the Gulf of Poets.
Our experience begins with a 10-minute dinghy ride to the dive site in Portovenere. Before venturing into the depths of the sea, however , we will have amini-lesson with the instructor to learn how to use the equipment correctly and how to breathe underwater .
Afterwards, we will put on thenecessary equipment (included in the participation fee) and we will finally be ready to dive. We will reach a maximum depth of 5 metres and see many interesting plant and animal life forms.
Atthe end of the adventure, around 4.30 p.m., we will be given a Certificate of Participation.
Theactivity lasts 2 hours, of which the dive will last approximately 30-40 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is simple and suitable for everyone over the age of 10. No specific skills or certification are required, just knowing how to swim.
Other information
The activity takes place from June to October, depending on weather and sea conditions.
The dive site may vary due to weather and sea conditions. For safety reasons, the activity may take place in the bay in front of the diving centre, one of the most picturesque in the Gulf of Poets.
At the meeting point, you can leave your personal belongings and take a shower.
Scuba diving 24 hours before a flight by plane is strongly discouraged, as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles inside the tissues that can obstruct the flow of blood.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund!
