If you feel fascinated by the hidden beauty on the seabed, if you have always wondered what lies beneath the surface of the water at metres and metres of depth, this is the right activity for you: aguided diving excursion for those who want to approach the underwater world for the first time.
It will be a true baptism of the sea, and you will be baptised by an experienced instructor who will take you by the hand down to a depth of 8 metres. You will enjoy the experience to the full and in total safety.
You will admire the seabed of Ischia, rich in biodiversity and marine flora and fauna. You will experience the sensation of breathing underwater and you will feel so light that you will feel like you are flying free in the blue sea!
What we will do
We will meet at 1.30 p.m. near the Aragonese Bridge on the island of Ischia. We will meet theinstructor who will accompany us on the experience and, first, we will have a thorough briefing. The basic rules and safety procedures will be explained to us, we will do a shore test with the equipment, and only when we are fully prepared will we board the boat to reach the dive site.
Ischia is a popular location for divers of all levels for the richness and variety of its seabed. The 'baptism of the sea' involves a dive to a maximum depth of 8 metres, but this will be enough to admire the colours and beauties held by the sea: starfish, schools of fish, multicoloured algae and much more.
In addition to being a triumph for the eyes, scuba diving is a combination of extraordinary sensations: the freedom of being able to breathe underwater, theweightlessness that makes you float like a feather, the silence of the seabed, the contact with such an unknown and fascinating environment.
The total duration of the activity varies depending on the number of participants, considering that the instructor can accompany 2 people at a time and that a single dive lasts approximately 40 minutes.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level. No previous experience is required, as long as you know how to swim and are in good health. Diving is not recommended if you have a cold and/or flu symptoms. Children aged 10 and over can also participate.
Other information
The activity can be booked from May to October, weather permitting.
Important: minors must present written and signed parental consent in order to proceed with the activity. If consent is not provided, the guide will not allow participants to carry out the activity and the activity will not be reimbursed.
The diving centre is equipped with showers and changing rooms for storing personal items.
It is strongly discouraged to dive 24 hours before an aeroplane flight as, due to the lower atmospheric pressure on board the plane, nitrogen, which may have remained in the body, may form bubbles within the tissues that can obstruct blood flow.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
