Flat track drifting course at Misano World Circuit

Don't be afraid to get your wheels dirty! This 'flat track' drifting course will be the most exhilarating driving experience you have ever experienced. And how could it be otherwise, when the setting is the legendary Misano World Circuit?

The 4- or 8-hour course (to be chosen at the time of booking) will alternate theory and practice on a 1.2 km long dirt track. Alongside an expert instructor, you will learn to master the curves and speed for maximum fun.

What we will do

The appointment is at 8. 30 a. m. at the Misano Circuit. Here we will be welcomed by the instructors and prepare to savour the emotions of the 'flat track'.

We will begin with theory, with a classroom lesson of about 30 minutes that will explore driving dynamics, trajectories, realigning the car after a skid, and other crucial aspects of drifting.

After that we will move on to practice, the most adrenaline-pumping part of our day. We'll move onto the 1. 2-kilometre-long dirt track, with 5 left and 3 right turns, and begin to get familiar with 2 laps of the track alongside the instructor. Then it will be our turn to take the wheel, alternating driving in four 5-lap sh ifts (a total of 20 laps) .

Round after round, we'll learn how to control the car in a skid, dosing the speed on curves and straights to achieve maximum performance. It will be much more fun than driving on asphalt: we will feel like we are protagonists in a rally!

After a free lunch break, with those who have selected the 'full day' option, we'll be back on the track from 2. 30 p. m. for four more 5-lap rounds (for a total of 40 laps) , which will allow us to consolidate the knowledge we have learnt. At the end of the course, we will have a concluding briefing to answer any doubts and we will receive our diplomas, hard-won on the track.

The course will last either 4 or 8 hours, to be chosen at the time of booking.

Who it is aimed at

To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old, in good health and able to drive a car.

Other information

The activity is available from March to November on the dates indicated in the calendar.

When booking, it will be possible to choose between the 'half-day' course (4 driving sessions, 20 laps in total) or the 'full-day' course (8 driving sessions, 40 laps in total) . For those who choose the 4-hour course, the activity will end around 1. 30 p. m. , while for the others it will continue in the afternoon after the lunch break. In agreement with the instructor, it will be possible to split the full-day course into 2 half-day courses, to be held on different dates.

The cars used for the course will be BMW 330, BMW 320, Mercedes CLK 320, BMW 325 E36, Jaguar S-Type or BMW 528i (in rotation, subject to availability) .

During the 8-hour course, you can organise your own lunch break by bringing a packed lunch or go to the self-service restaurant at the Misano Circuit.

Photos and videos may be taken during the activity.

Accompanying persons are welcome; dogs on a leash may also enter the circuit.
