Exclusive hot air balloon flight in Siena

A hot-air balloon slowly lifts off the ground, the wind deciding the route and Siena with its hills below you. In an instant you are suspended between sky and silence, far from everything.

For about an hour you will fly in the sole company of the pilot and whoever you have chosen to take with you, surrounded by a panorama that changes with every breath, from the roofs and squares of the city to the expanses of vineyards and cypresses that line the hills.

It is not a simple hot-air balloon flight. It is a moment to remember forever.

What we will do

The rendezvous is at the meeting point in Siena, chosen by the pilot according to the best conditions of the day.

You can arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time or half an hour earlier to witness all the stages of the balloon's inflation: an exciting ritual in which the balloon slowly comes to life until it becomes a colourful dome ready to rise.

The staff will welcome you and the pilot will give you the final instructions before boarding. Then the burner fire will ignite and... within seconds the earth will be beneath you.

You will fly suspended between 300 and 1,200 metres above sea level, depending on the wind. From up there you will be able to admire Siena with its Duomo, Torre del Mangia and Piazza del Campo, and all around the mosaic of medieval villages, vineyards and Tuscan hills that look like something out of a painting.

The flight will last about one hour, during which the pilot will guide the hot-air balloon in total safety, while you enjoy the magic of having a sky of your own.

Thelanding will take place at a spot chosen by the wind and from there an organiser's vehicle will take you back to the take-off field. In total, from your arrival at the airfield to your return, the experience will last about 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone from 6 years of age.

Pregnant women, people with cardiovascular, pulmonary or osteoporosis diseases, psychiatric disorders or with prosthetic limbs or walking problemscannot fly.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.

Flights take place all year round, weather permitting. The landscapes that can be seen during the flight may vary, as the direction of the balloon trip depends on the direction in which the wind is blowing.

Important: the take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. On the day before the activity - by 6 p.m. - you will receive confirmation from the pilot of the exact time and location.

You are allowed to bring small objects on board, such as smartphones and small video cameras with which you can film.

Dogs are allowed on board the balloon; if you wish to bring your four-legged friend, please contact the organiser at the contact details you will receive by email with your booking confirmation.

The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport; a pick-up service from your hotel/accommodation in Siena and neighbouring towns is available on request and at an extra charge. To request this, please contact the organiser.
