Tandem paragliding flight over the Certosa di Padula (SA)

Experience the extraordinary thrill of a free paragliding flight, launch yourself in tandem with an expert instructor and experience the magic of an activity that offers an unprecedented view of the surrounding landscape.

You will fly above the Certosa di Padula, the famous monastery in the province of Salerno, which from above will amaze you with its majestic geometries and surrounding green gardens.

It will be anadrenalin-fuelled experience, you will fly supported by the ascending wind currents and enjoy an enormous sense of freedom. Get ready to launch!

What we will do

The meeting will be near the Certosa di Padula (SA), where we will meet theinstructor and together we will head to a high point that will allow us to have a wide view of the monastery during the flight. We will carry out a briefing on the rules of behaviour to carry out the activity in comfort and safety, and soon we will be ready for take-off.

Firmly harnessed and attached to the instructor, all we have to do is take a little run downhill and, in no time at all, we will take off. It will be an incredible feeling, we will feel lighter and freer than ever and we will only have eyes for the fantastic view.

We will admire from above the splendid Certosa di Padula, the monastery that with its over 50,000 square metres is one of the most sumptuous Baroque complexes in Italy and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The view from above best appreciates the majesty and geometry of the cloisters and courtyard, the care of the surrounding gardens and the total harmony of the structure.

We will take advantage of the ascending wind currents that will allow us to spend 15 to 20 minutes in the air, as we gradually descend in altitude to a soft landing.

The activity lasts a total of about 2 hours, taking into account preparation time, moving to the take-off point and returning to the meeting point. At the end of the experience you will be given a video souvenir of the flight!

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 12 years old and up. No experience is required and you must have a body weight between 40 and 100 kg.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.

The activity takes place all year round, with different frequency depending on the month. From May to October, it is recommended to book at least 2 days in advance. In the remaining months, only bookings made at least 5 days in advance are accepted (with the exception of weekends and public holidays, for which the days in advance to book remain 2).

The paragliding flight is strictly weather-related and may be subject to schedule changes or may even be cancelled at the take-off point, at the instructor's sole discretion.

Two people may fly in each time slot. If more than one person wishes to fly at the same time, you can contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email and request the assistance of several pilots at an additional charge of €15 per person (payable locally).
