Full description
6 hours on a gozzo through the waters of the Ligurian Sea. Here is the most poetic of boat tours, the one in the Golfo dei Poeti.
Sailing in the company of a skipper who will also act as cicero with stories of the places visited, you will immerse yourself in the dreamy and colourful atmosphere of this part of Liguria.
From La Spezia to Portovenere, passing through Grotta Byron, the small islands of Palmaria and Tino , and numerous other stops, you will enjoy a unique day of diving, snacks on board, and the beauty of the landscapes.
What we will do
We will meet in La Spezia, 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Having welcomed the participants on board the gozzo Gaia, the skipper will start the engines to begin the excursion. We will sail for about 20 minutes passing by Fezzano, and then reach Le Grazie, a typical seaside village. From here we will head towards Palmaria and Tino, small islands of the Ligurian archipelago, where we will stop for about 45 minutes for a swim.
The next stops will be the famous Byron grotto, dedicated to the English poet, and Portovenere, another characteristic destination with its church overlooking the sea and colourful village. The skipper will immerse us in the atmosphere of the various places we encounter along the way, telling interesting stories and anecdotes.
Then we will head to Tellaro, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and to Fiascherino, an ideal place for a dip from the boat where we will stop for a 45-minute swim. After that it will be the turn to sail past Lerici and the small hamlet of San Terenzo.
A glass of wine, prosecco or soft drink will be served on board during the day, accompanied by snacks with typical products such as focaccia or cold dishes. We can instead bring along food and drinks for a packed lunch (not included).
The return will be in La Spezia, after a 6-hour tour.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Other information
The excursion takes place every day in September and October, with a minimum of five participants.
From March to August, the half-day gozzo tour in the Gulf of Poets takes place.
The itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
You will travel on a typical Tuscan Gaia gozzo of 6.5 m, capable of accommodating up to 6 passengers, and equipped with awning, freshwater shower, refrigerator, bunk, sundeck and stereo system. The boat has no toilet facilities.
Food and beverages may be brought on board (for possible packed lunches). In case of food allergies or intolerances, please inform the organisers after confirmation of booking.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; a large car park is available on site.
Dogs are not allowed.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
