Things you can do when inspiration strikes: write a poem or set sail on a boat tour in the Gulf of Poets. How about it?
Spend a day on a gozzo with a skipper, sailing between La Spezia, Lerici, Palmaria and Portovenere, and discover why this area of Liguria was so popular with writers and artists.
Between a dip in the water, a souvenir photo and an aperitif with Ligurian focaccia, you will return home with enough material to write entire books!
What we will do
The rendezvous is in La Spezia (SP), 15 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Here we will meet the skipper who will take us aboard the gozzo Gaia and begin our tour of the Golfo dei Poeti. Initially we will head towards the colourful Lerici, where we can choose whether to go ashore for a free 45-minute visit or to stop for a swim near Tellaro.
We will then resume sailing to the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, a small archipelago in the Gulf of La Spezia.
In Palmaria we will stop for about 45 minutes for a long swim and an aperitif on board, with products such as focaccia, pizza, and seasonal fruit, accompanied by beer, wine, or soft drinks. Those who wish can ask the skipper to disembark at Palmaria's Pozzale beach for lunch in the restaurant there (lunch not included) .
In the afternoon we will stop at Portovenere and the Grotta Byron, so dear to the English poet. Here we will have about 45 minutes to freely visit Portovenere on foot or, for those who prefer, enjoy another swimming break.
We will return to La Spezia after a 6-hour excursion.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 2 years. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The boat is not accessible for wheelchair users or persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The tour is available from April to October and is confirmed with a minimum number of three people.
The boat used is Gaia, a 6. 5 m Tuscan gozzo equipped with awning, fresh water shower, refrigerator, berth used as luggage storage, sundeck and stereo.
The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather conditions and the preferences of the participants.
It is not possible to guarantee alternative options for people with allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements (in these cases, you are allowed to bring your own food and drink on board) .
Dogs are not allowed on this experience.
On board the boat you stay without shoes.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site for a fee.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
