Live a unique, exciting and unforgettable experience: a hot-air balloon flight in Barolo is an ever-changing and unrepeatable journey to be experienced at least once in a lifetime.
Fly over the "Langa del Barolo", a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014, famous throughout the world for its beauty and fine products: you will be able to admire from above the enchantment of the gentle slopes and medieval villages, interspersed with imposing castles. For about an hour, you will be able to enjoy a dreamlike panorama of vineyards and colourful valleys.
What we will do
We will take off amidst the vineyards that have made the fortune of these lands and you will be able to admire the beauty of their gentle slopes. For about an hour you will be able to admire a dream landscape from above, the multicoloured vineyards and our valleys.
The castle of Barolo and the rounded hills will enviously follow our hovering in the air. We will also be able to see other castles (Monforte, Serralunga, Grinzane, Cavour) located close to our take-off point and observe this beautiful corner of Piedmont from a new perspective. At the end of the trip we will toast tasting the typical local products, famous throughout the world for their goodness.
Who it is aimed at
Flying in a hot-air balloon involves no particular risks or contraindications . However, it is essential to be in good health and at least 7 years of age and at least 130 cm tall (two children are allowed for each adult); children from 7 to 11 years of age are entitled to the reduced rate of €175, please contact us to make a reservation request. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and up to 18 require parental consent.
In addition, due to restrictions on balloon lifting capacity, passengers over 100 kg will be subject to a surcharge of €50 per person (payable locally).
Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that they are fit to fly. It is recommended to consult the doctor in case of surgery or medical treatment in the 2 months preceding the flight.
For safety reasons, it is not possible to fly if you are pregnant, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or unable to maintain the support position during landing, which consists of bending your knees while holding on to the landing handles. The pilot has the right to decide whether the participant is fit to fly.
Other information
Flights take place at sunrise all year round or before sunset from mid-September to mid-May.
Theexact flight time and meeting point will be given the day before the flight. You will receive contact details of the organisers when your booking is confirmed.
The price of the flight includes a toast with typical local products (cold meats, cheeses and local wines, taralli, toasted hazelnuts, dried pears, fruit juices, water and, on request, hazelnut cake).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
