Fly ina hot-air balloon to Gravina in Puglia and discover from above the hidden treasures of the 'city of water and stone', an open-air museum in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park.

What we will do

We will meet near Gravina in Puglia (BA), at a point chosen by the pilot according to the wind conditions (the address will be communicated to you a few days before the activity). Generally, we fly early in the morning because the cooler temperatures offer the best conditions for flying.

The experience begins early in the preparation of the hot-air balloon. We witness the great bla ze of the burner that inflates the balloon and, once on board, we wait for the basket to lift off the ground.

Having gained altitude, the balloon will fly only by the wind in its direction and at its speed. The currents will decide the exact path of our journey, making it unique and unrepeatable!

We will fly over the town of Gravina, admiring from above its monuments and its peculiar structure made up of tunnels, cellars and rupestrian churches, and all around the fascinating landscape of the Murgia reliefs, characterised by rugged rocks and gentle hills.

After about 1 hour of flight, we will land and a toast with a tasting of typical products (included) will be waiting for us. Finally, we will receive a souvenir certificate and be taken back to our starting point.

In total, the experience will last about 3 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of an easy level and suitable for everyone, aged 8 years and over and at least 130 cm tall.

To fly in a hot-air balloon, you only need to be in good health. The only restrictions are for pregnant women, those suffering from serious illnesses incompatible with flying, and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs. If you are in doubt about your fitness to fly, please consult your attending physician.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point about half an hour before the departure time.

Important: this activity can be booked all year round, but will only be confirmed if there are at least 5 participants and weather conditions guarantee maximum safety. Should the flight not be confirmed on your requested date, the organiser will propose alternative dates.

The flight takes place in the early morning hours to take advantage of the best currents. The day before the activity, the pilot will confirm the meeting time and give you the exact address.
