Group balloon flight from Masino Castle

Climb aboard a hot-air balloon and experience the thrill of floating gently through the air as you fly over the magnificent Masino Castle, an architectural jewel set in the green hills of Canavese.

The currents will dictate the direction of the flight, but you are assured of a spectacular view of the Piedmont hills, with the Alps on the horizon.

It will be an unforgettable experience!

What we will do

The meeting point is near Masino Castle, in the municipality of Caravino (TO). Here we will meet the pilot and watch the balloon inflation show.

We will then have a briefing on behaviour and safety rules and finally take our place in the wicker basket, ready for take-off.

From the top of the hot-air balloon we will admire the 19th-century castle of Masino, a FAI property, set in a large park in a dominant position among the Canavese hills. On the horizon we will glimpse the reliefs of the Serra d'Ivrea and, further on, the Alps and Monviso.

The duration of the flight is about 1 hour and the route will be determined by the direction of the wind. After landing, the ground staff will drive us back to the starting point where we will be given acertificate of participation as a memento of this incredible experience.

The experience will last about 3 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

Hot-air ballooning is suitable for everyone from the age of 7 years and above, with aminimum height of 120 cm. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and with parental consent.

It is not possible to fly if:

• You have handicaps or disabilities, illnesses or syndromes that conflict with ballooning or altitude. In particular: you must not suffer from any type of heart disease, bone deficiency problems, serious back problems, you must not have hearing compensation problems, you cannot fly if you are pregnant.
• You are not able to enter and exit the basket independently, i.e. take one/two steps, pass one leg at a time on the other side of the guardrail, and descend inside the basket.
• You are unable to maintain the correct support position when landing (bend your knees while holding on to the handles).
• You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• You have a body weight of more than 110 kg.

If you have any doubts, consult your specialist and, if necessary, bring a medical certificate stating that you are fit to fly in a hot-air balloon. It is important to remove any doubt about the state of your health, otherwise it could affect your safety and that of the other passengers.

• the presence of any accompanying persons who do not fly (if they wish, they can board our vehicles or follow us in the car)
• optional balloon-selfie request (photo selfie, you can buy it before starting the experience at a cost of €20.00)
• any doubts about fitness to fly

Any bulky personal items may be left on board the ground vehicles.
