Full description
Experience the thrill of a hot-air balloon flight and admire the Terra delle Gravine nature park in the province of Taranto from above, discovering all its secrets from a more than privileged perspective!
You will fly over aprotected area that is characterised by a high concentration of rock settlements, archaeological sites and geological phenomena that over the centuries have generated particular karst canyons.
Be enraptured by the wonder of this area and fly carefree for 1 hour, at the speed of the wind and in the company of our experienced pilots.
What we will do
We will meet in an area close to the Terra delle Gravine regional nature park, in the province of Taranto. The address of the meeting point will be provided a few days before the activity, after the pilot has selected the take-off area based on wind conditions.
The experience will begin with the very first stages of preparing the hot air balloon: fromlighting the burner to inflating the balloon. This will be followed by a briefing on how to behave in the air and then we can climb aboard the wicker basket and wait for take-off.
Once it has reached a suitable altitude, the hot air balloon will rely on the wind currents, which will carry it throughout the flight, deciding its course. Precisely because of this, each balloon flight is different from the next, unique and unrepeatable!
We will fly for about 1 hour over the Terre delle Gravine, observing from above the karst phenomena typical of this area, the traces of ancient rock civilisations and the particular ecosystem rich in biodiversity: a journey through time and nature!
Upon landing, the ground crew will be waiting for us with a toast and a tasting of typical Apulian products. Finally, we will be given ourflight certificate and taken back to the initial meeting point.
In total, the experience will last about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is suitable for ages 8 and up.
Aminimum height of 130 cm is required to participate.
The activity is not suitable for pregnant women, those suffering from serious illnesses incompatible with flying , and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs.

Attention! Please arrive at the meeting point about half an hour before the departure time.
Important: this activity can be booked all year round, but will only be confirmed if there are at least 5 participants and weather conditions guarantee maximum safety. Should the flight not be confirmed on your requested date, the organiser will propose alternative dates.
The flight takes place in the early morning hours to take advantage of the best currents. A few days before the activity, the pilot will confirm the meeting time and give you the exact address.
