Group hot air balloon ride in Siena

Flying in a hot-air balloon is an incredible experience, to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. Being carried away by the wind, admiring the breathtaking panorama illuminated by the colours of dawn... is something simply unique!

Experience this magical adventure in one of Tuscany's most beautiful cities, Siena. You will see from above the labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways around Piazza del Campo, the medieval buildings and the surrounding hills.

An experienced pilot will accompany you during the flight, to ensure your comfort and safety. At the end of the experience, you will find refreshments of typical Tuscan products and a glass of champagne waiting for you.

What we will do

The rendezvous is at the take-off area in Siena, at first light. Here, we will be welcomed by the pilot, who will direct us to our hot-air balloon.

We will then board the balloon via special passages on the side of the basket and, after a briefing on safety regulations, we will finally be ready to take off. The pilot will briefly explain the behaviour to be adopted during the various phases of the flight.

We will reach an altitude of between 300 and 1200 metres, depending on the wind of the day. During the flight, we will be able to admire the city of Siena from above, with its splendid medieval brick buildings. We will see Piazza del Campo, with its characteristic fan shape, the Duomo, the Torre del Mangia and the surrounding hills. The pilot will take care of everything, ensuring maximum safety, while all we have to do is enjoy the view.

After about one hour of flight, it will be time to land. Wind conditions will determine the landing zone, generally on grass. Afterwards, we will find refreshments (included in the fee) prepared by the staff, including pastries, a plate of local cheeses and cold cuts, and a glass of champagne.

After the refreshments, the pilot will take us back to the take-off site. The activity has a total duration of about 3 hours and includes the flight, safety briefing and return to the starting point.

Who it is aimed at

Flying in a hot-air balloon is suitable for everyone, you can fly from 6 years of age upwards and with a minimum height of 90 cm. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with serious heart problems or restricted mobility in their lower limbs.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the activity.

The activity takes place on the dates indicated in the calendar at dawn, to take advantage of the best winds and the most suitable temperatures.

Important: the take-off time may vary depending on the period chosen. The day before the scheduled activity, you will receive confirmation of the take-off time and meeting place from the pilot.
