Our skipper (and instructor) will be waiting for you on board his boat Zucchero e Cannella to take you on a discovery of the Roman coastline, introducing you to the world of sailing.
A 3-hour experience that will give you a (sweet) taste of life as a sea dog!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 10 minutes before the selected time in the tourist port of Rome in Ostia (RM) . We will be welcomed by the skipper and FIV instructor with whom we will spend this half-day sailing!
Once all participants have gathered, the activity will begin with an introductory briefing on the world of sailing. We will then hoist the sails and be ready to set sail!
We will thus begin our sail along the Roman coastline, between Ostia and Fiumicino. During the excursion we can choose whether to relax on board, or opt for a more educational experience and follow the skipper in the manoeuvres on board, feeling like an active part of the crew.
We will finally return to our starting point after about 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children under 18 must be accompanied on board by an adult.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but people with reduced mobility are welcome on board: please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to report your presence and request boarding support.
Other information
Please note!The departure time is approximate and may be subject to change depending on weather and sea conditions and the skipper’s judgement.The boat will set sail no later than 15 minutes after the agreed time; if you fail to arrive on time, the experience will not be refunded.
The experience runs all year round except in August and is confirmed once a minimum of 4 participants has been reached.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.
The vessel is a Sun Odyssey 37 sailing boat named "Zucchero& Cannella", equipped with 3 double cabins, a toilet, a galley with dinette, a sun deck, an awning and a freshwater shower with hot and cold water. On board , clean boat shoes or trainers are permitted, or you may go barefoot. Dogs are not allowed on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
