Full description
Enjoy a morning tour to discover the beauty of the Gulf of La Spezia: on board a cabin motorboat, you will set sail for 4 hours of fun and relaxation.
You will admire from the water the picturesque village of Portovenere and its small islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, and then dive to discover the seabed of the natural park, rich in a surprising variety of flora and fauna.
Between snorkelling and a typical aperitif on board, you will admire the Madonna Bianca rising above the water, the romantic Grotta di Byron (inspiration of writers and poets) and "Le Rosse", cliffs that will enchant you with their shape and colour.
What we will do
We will meet at Porto Mirabello in La Spezia at 10:30 a.m. (arrive 15 minutes early). From here we will start our navigation towards Torre Scola, a suggestive fortified building standing on an islet, not far from the north-eastern tip of Palmaria Island.
During the navigation, we will be able to admire the beautiful village of Portovenere from the sea and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, which rise just in front of the village. Here we will glimpse the 'Secca del Tinetto' with its characteristic white Madonna, whose colour is reflected below the surface.
Then it will be the turn of Grotta Byron, a true spectacle of nature surrounded by rocky walls full of small crustaceans, which inspired the famous English poet.
Navigation will then resume towards "Le Rosse", Albana rocks so nicknamed because of the colour of the cliffs, rich in iron oxide. During the mini-cruise we will also make several swimming stops at coves, caves and secret beaches, where we can dive and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters.
A snack with local specialities such as pesto, cheese, cold cuts, chips, vegetable pies and pistachio nuts will also be provided on board, accompanied by prosecco, soft drinks and music.
We will return to the meeting place at 14:30, after a 4-hour excursion.
Who it is aimed at
Excursion suitable for everyone, no age limit. Children aged 0 to 2 years participate free of charge.
The excursion is partially accessible to passengers with reduced mobility: for boarding, it is essential to be able to walk for at least 2 minutes.
Other information
The tour is available from January to December, and is confirmed with a minimum of 5 participants.
The exact meeting point will be sent a few days in advance via Google Maps link: it can be reached by public transport (station) or by car (parking is available inside).
You will travel on board a 9.9-metre cabin motor boat equipped with: fresh water shower, toilet, ice cooler, snorkelling kit, large sunbathing area with cushions, shaded aft area.
Animals are not allowed on board: small dogs can be accepted on request with the consent of the other participants.
In the event of allergies/intolerances, an alternative menu can be agreed upon and communicated in advance.
