Full description
Join us for a horseback ride in the Valle dei Laghi valley that will take us to the shores of Lake Cavedine.
We will ride along trails and forest roads to reach the small natural lake frequented by windsurfers and kitesurfers and, weather permitting, we may even enter the water while remaining in the saddle.
We will be in the company of the gentle animals for three and a half hours and relax lulled by the gait of our horse, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and enveloped in the scents of nature.
What we will do
We will meet at our ranch in Cavedine (TN), 10 minutes before the time agreed at the time of booking. We will have a briefing during which we can slowly get in tune with the horse that will accompany us on the excursion. We will then mount the saddle to begin our ride.
We will cross paths and forest roads that wind through the Valle dei Laghi. We will be able to breathe fresh, clean air and see the Marocche, boulders from the glacial era which, with landslides and collapses that occurred during the retreat of the glaciers, broke away from Monte Brento and Monte Casale.
If weather conditions permit, we can try the suggestive experience of entering the water while riding our horses; in this way, our companions can cool off and we can enjoy the thrill of a walk in the waters of the lake.
Then we will take the trails back to the ranch. As we cross forests and scenic roads we will enjoy the last moments together with our horses. If the guide allows it, we can also enjoy some trotting and galloping, savouring a delicious feeling of freedom.
The experience will end about three and a half hours after we have met. The duration includes the briefing, getting to know the horses and the 3-hour walk.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is aimed at experienced riders from the age of 14. Experienced riders are those who ride regularly, have taken riding lessons and know how to handle the horse and the various gaits independently: gait, trot and gallop.
The maximum weight permitted for the activity is 110 kg.
Other information
The experience takes place throughout the year and is confirmed once five participants have been reached.
The ride will proceed at a walking pace and in some sections, if the guide allows it, it will be possible to trot and gallop. The horses will be mounted in the American style.
At the ranch you will find about 30 horses, including ponies, Sardinian ponies and thoroughbred horses. The main breeds are Paint horse, Quarter horse, Haflingher and Anglo-Arab. The horses live in herds, in a large paddock paradise; they are unshod in order to ensure their well-being. The ranch embraces the philosophy of natural horsemanship, which involves natural communication with the animals to understand their needs and respect them.
No bags or backpacks are allowed during the ride for safety reasons.
