Full description
Experience the true spirit of the mountains and practice half a day of ski mountaineering among the peaks of Livigno, accompanied by an expert Alpine Guide.
This activity is open to skiers of all levels. The Alpine Guide will adapt the route and programme according to your experience.
You will experience the thrill of being in contact with the most fascinating side of the mountain, climb the pristine slopes with skis on your back and then launch yourself down into the valley following the best off-piste trails.
What we will do
The appointment with the Alpine Guide is at 8:30 a.m. in Livigno (the day before the activity you will be contacted by the Guide who will indicate the precise meeting point, depending on the chosen itinerary). First there will be an equipment check (not included in the price, but can be rented on site at an agreed price) and then an introductory briefing, in which the Guide will explain the basic rules and progression techniques.
The half-day ski touring with a private guide will focus much more on practice than theory. However, there will be hints on snow conditions and everything necessary to ensure maximum safety for the participants.
You will climb up to an altitude of 900 metres, following one of the many ski mountaineering routes in the Livigno area. During the ascent, you will have the opportunity to be in contact with the uncontaminated nature of the mountains and to admire the most beautiful landscapes ofAlta Valtellina, far from the confusion of the crowded slopes.
The return to the valley is scheduled for 13:00 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of an easy level and is also open to those with no previous experience of ski mountaineering. However, it is necessary to be in good health and to know how to ski. You can participate from the age of 10 and up.
Other information
This activity can be carried out from December to April, depending on snow and weather conditions.
The route will be chosen by the Alpine Guide according to the ability and experience of the group of participants.
Theski mountaineering equipment is not included and can be rented at an agreed price from Mountain Planet Livigno.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
