Full description
Experience the thrill of stand-up paddling on SUP while admiring the Agrigento coastline with this excursion to San Leone.
Together with an experienced instructor, you will learn the basics of this fun water sport and paddle 3.5 km while staying close to the Agrigento coastline, so you can appreciate its most beautiful and evocative corners.
The excursion will last 5 hours, including a stop for a packed lunch.
What we will do
We will meet with the instructor on the beach at San Leone, a hamlet of Agrigento, where we will board the van that will take us to the chosen spot for our excursion.
The location to enter the water will be chosen according to weather conditions and the current season. The starting points could be Cannatello and Punta Bianca, a beautiful nature reserve, Cattolica Eraclea, Pergole, Baia del Kaos or Maddalusa.
Once there, we will have an introductory briefing to learn the basic concepts of SUP, namely how to paddle, how to get on the board, where to enter the water, and how to stay balanced.
In this first phase we will also do some stretching and warm-up to prepare the body for the physical activity. Once this part on the beach is over, we will be ready for our SUP baptism. We will be in the water for about 4 hours, covering 3.5 km.
The SUP excursion will not only be a moment of healthy sporting fun, but also an opportunity to discover the little-known beauty of the Agrigento coastline. Along the way, we will stay close to the coast and will be able to truly appreciate its most beautiful sights. We will not have to worry about taking photographs (with the risk of losing our mobile phones in the water!), because the organisers themselves will take the photos and share them with the participants at the end of the activity.
We will also take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch together (not included). Afterwards we will board the SUP again to return to our starting point, where the van will be waiting to take us back to the campsite. Upon arrival, we will be able to use the changing rooms and coin-operated showers to change after the activity.
The excursion will last a total of 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from 6 years of age. Up to the age of 12, the presence of a parent is required.
It is not necessary to have previous SUP experience or to know how to swim, but good water skills are required.
Other information
The excursion is available all year round, subject to weather and sea conditions, and is confirmed with a minimum number of 7 participants.
Photos taken by the organisers will be shared with participants after the activity directly on their mobile phones, via WhatsApp or Telegram.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
