Full description

Riddle: it’s round, delicate and absolutely delicious. What is it?

The Piedmont IGP hazelnut! We look forward to welcoming you to Castagnole delle Lanze, between the Langhe and Monferrato regions, to discover this local speciality on a guided tour of a family-run farm.

A one-hour experience, rounded off with a tasting of hazelnuts and other specialities made with this ingredient!

What we will do

We’ll meet at the specified time at the meeting point in Castagnole delle Lanze (AT), between Langhe and Monferrato.

Our guide will be there to welcome us at the family farm’s shop. Here, they will tell us the story of the business, which was founded in 1980, and introduce us to the world of the Piedmont IGP Tonda Gentile Trilobata hazelnut.

We will then begin our tour of the farm and take a close look at the machinery used to process the hazelnuts, such as the harvesting machine, the cleaning machine and the drying room, where the hazelnuts are dehumidified.

We will then head to the tasting area. The guide will teach us how to taste like true experts, for example by rubbing the hazelnut between our hands and smelling it to recognise its quality and fragrance.

We’ll sample a range of varieties, from classic roasted hazelnuts to original salted versions, hazelnut paste, oil and spreads, with tips on how to use these ingredients in the kitchen.

At the end of the experience, we’ll be able to buy our favourite products directly from the shop. The activity will last a total of 1 hour.
