Full description
Did you know that there is aheart-shaped island in Salento ? It is called Scoglio della Malva and you can admire it by kayak. Maybe at sunset, with a prosecco in hand!
Set sail from Porto Cesareo for atwo-hour excursion through the waters of Salento, in the company of a guide who will tell you the secrets of this stretch of coastline.
You will sail through history, nature and beauty: from the submerged Roman columns to theIsola dei Conigli (Rabbit Island), until thefinal aperitif on the islet of Malva.
What we will do
The meeting point is 15 minutes before the indicated time in Porto Cesareo (LE). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us throughout the experience and provide us with a kayak, paddle, life jacket and waterproof bag.
During an initial briefing, the guide will give us all the information we need to paddle effectively and tell us some historical facts about the area. We will then board our kayaks and begin paddling in a sheltered bay amidst calm, clear waters.
Just outside the bay, we will come across the fascinating Roman columns lying on the seabed of Porto Cesareo, a true underwater archaeological treasure. We will then continue south in the direction of the Isola dei Conigli. Here we will land on a small white sandy beach for a short walk, marvelling at this landscape that is almost reminiscent of the coasts of Thailand.
Back on the kayaks, we will head for the Isola della Malva, a small jewel of the Salento region. Here we will toast the sunset with an aperitif of prosecco and local specialities such as frise al pomodoro. If the horizon is clear of clouds, we will also be able to spot the silhouettes of the Pollino mountains of Calabria and Basilicata in the distance.
When the sun dips into the sea, igniting the sky with a thousand colours, it will be time to return. The activity will last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 8 and up. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
It is not necessary to know how to swim, but familiarity with the water is recommended.
The weight per participant must not exceed 100 kg.

The activity takes place from April to September and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The itinerary of the excursion is variable depending on weather and sea conditions.
The facility has 6 open deck kayaks (single or double) and can accommodate up to 12 people at a time.
Showers, changing rooms, storage for personal belongings and a refreshment area are available at the meeting point.
It is possible to participate with your own dog, provided it is socialised.
There are free and paid parking spaces in the vicinity. The meeting point can be reached by public transport during the summer period (22 June to 8 September).
