Hire an 8 CV boat and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of Lake Orta, one of Italy’s most romantic and peaceful lakes.
The boat is compact, comfortable and very easy to handle. It has an 8 CV Yamaha engine and can accommodate up to 4 people. On board you’ll find cushions, a sun deck and an awning to shelter you from the sun during the hottest part of the day.
During your 3- or 6-hour hire (your choice), you can stop whenever you like to sunbathe, take a dip, have a bite to eat on board or simply enjoy the view.
What we will do
The meeting point is on the Omegna (VB) lakeside promenade, where our skipper will hand over the motorboat to you and explain everything you need to know about operating it and the rules for safe boating.
The boat is a small fibreglass craft, light and manoeuvrable, fitted with cushions, a sun deck and a sun awning. No boat licence is required. With its 8 CV Yamaha 4-stroke engine – featuring a pull-start ignition and tiller steering – it’ll be a bit like riding a moped on the water: simple and fun!
You’ll decide the route: you can sail towards the village of Orta San Giulio, the pearl of the lake, and the picturesque Island of San Giulio, which, thanks to the tranquillity that reigns there, is nicknamed ‘the island of silence’. You can also stop wherever you like for a dip and a swim in the lake’s crystal-clear waters.
When booking, you can choose between a 3-hour or 6-hour hire.

A licence is not required to drive the boat, you only need to be of legal age.

The boat is available for hire from April to October and can accommodate up to 4 people.

The meeting point is accessible by public transport; there are both free and paid parking spaces on site.
Important: fuel is not included in the price and must be paid for on return, based on consumption.
Dogs are not permitted on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
