The hills around Bologna, a farmhouse nestled in the countryside and a lovely platter of local specialities. Is anything missing? Ah yes, you. And someone to share all this with!
Treat yourself to a night at a farmhouse in Vergato, complete with breakfast and a tasting of local specialities. And for the more adventurous, there’s even the chance to go for a horse ride!
What we will do
Check-in is from 4. 00 pm at the Agriturismo in Vergato (BO), a renovated farmhouse nestled amongst the green hills of Bologna.
On arrival, you will be shown to your double room, which is spacious and furnished in a rustic style, with high ceilings, large windows that let in natural light and original wrought-iron floral decorations. The room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, satellite TV and bed linen and towels; it does not have air conditioning.
During your stay, you’ll be treated to a tasting of local specialities, served in the agriturismo’s restaurant. You’ll be able to savour a selection of cured meats, cheeses and local specialities – including game dishes – accompanied by water and soft drinks. A chance to discover the flavours of traditional Emilian cuisine!
The rest of your time will be entirely your own: you can relax in the tranquillity of the farm and enjoy the hilly landscape. To make the experience even more special, you can also book a horse ride, available as an extra activity, to explore the surrounding area from a different perspective.
The following morning, a traditional breakfast will be waiting for you, served from 8. 30 am to 10. 00 am, so you can start the day in style and at a leisurely pace.

You can add a horse ride for a fee starting from €40 per person; this must be booked on request and paid for directly on site.
Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead inside the property and the restaurant.
The farmhouse restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner on Saturdays and for lunch on Sundays. Any additional food and drink is not included in the package.
Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
