How many times have you said to yourselves,‘This weekend we’re definitely going away’, only to find yourselves sitting on the sofa arguing about which TV series to watch?
Change your plans: pack your bags and treat yourselves to an overnight stay in Giano dell’Umbria, where the tranquillity of the Umbrian hills will rejuvenate you. You’ll be staying at a farmhouse with a swimming pool, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, and you’ll also be treated to a generous guided tasting of artisan wines and a traditional farmhouse platter.
It’ll be the perfect way to raise a glass together and remind yourselves that real life has a whole different flavour!
What we will do
Check-in is from 3. 00 pm at the property in Giano dell’Umbria, in the province of Perugia. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation.
You will be staying in a standard double room, which is cosy and quiet, equipped with a sofa bed, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a TV, a fridge and a private bathroom with a shower.
The estate also boasts a splendid outdoor swimming pool and an on-site restaurant offering a menu of traditional dishes, some of which have been featured on Alessandro Borghese’s programme ‘4 Ristoranti’.
Your stay includes a guided wine tasting: you’ll be guided through a tasting of a generous platter for two featuring fresh and mature cheeses, ricotta, cured meats and bruschetta from the estate’s farm. This will be accompanied by two glasses of the estate’s own wines : the white Grechetto ‘Decimo Secolo’ and the red ‘La Verdamasca’.
You are free to choose whether to have the tasting on the day of check-in or check-out: you will arrange the exact time with the property once your booking has been confirmed.
Check-out is by 10. 00 am.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is designed for 2 adults. An extra bed can be added to the same room on request ( price on request; free for children aged 3 and under) .
The wine tasting is reserved for guests of legal age.
The room is not wheelchair accessible, but the property has another room with an accessible bathroom for guests with disabilities: please contact us to make your booking.

The experience is available all year round. Check-in is from 3. 00 pm.
Breakfast is not included but is available on site at a cost of €5. 00 per person (served from 8. 00 am to 10. 00 am, except on Mondays) . For lunch and dinner, the on-site restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday, serving a menu based on locally sourced produce from the farm (optional meals at an additional cost) .

Dogs are permitted for a one-off supplement of €20. 00, payable on site.
The property cannot be reached by public transport; free on-site parking is available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
