A wonderful experience combining wine, the local area and the flavours of Umbria

We visited the Bellafonte Estate during our stay in Umbria and I can say it was one of the most wonderful experiences of the trip.nnThere were two of us and the tour was very well organised and practically tailor-made for us. They took us on a tour of the estate, the vineyards and the cellar, showing us the barrels and telling us about the history of the place, the local area and, above all, how their wines are produced. It was fascinating because it wasn’t just a wine tasting, but a real little journey into their world.nnAnd then the wines: absolutely amazing! During the tasting, we sampled 5–6 different wines, each explained in detail.nnI’d also opted for the package with the charcuterie platter, and I’d definitely recommend it: delicious products, served with bread and olive oil, which paired perfectly with the wines. The tour of the vineyard and then the winery was really interesting! Michela, who welcomed us, was very professional and friendly! The wines were exceptional – from the two whites to the three reds that followed!! I’d definitely recommend this experience!!

A guarantee

Everything was perfect! The tour and the explanations Gianmaria gave us were absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, due to circumstances of our own, we had to rush off just as we were finishing, but I’ve already rounded up some friends to come back for the wine tasting as soon as possible. Everyone should experience what makes this winery so special. Spectacular wines and sparkling wines. See you soon!

Great adventure!...

Great adventure! We had beautiful cool weather and drove to the truffle preserve close to the winery tasting room. We followed the dogs as they raced through the woods sniffing for truffles. The dogs were so excited when they found a truffle and were rewarded with snacks. The dogs found plenty of truffles for our lunch. They seemed to throughly enjoy the hunt as much as we did. Returning to the winery, Lizette gave us a very thorough tour of the winery and their biological approach to wine making and the nuances of their particular processes. We went back to the tasting room, a beautiful spot with great views and seating inside and out. Lunch was excellent and included our truffles. Wines included a white, rosé, an orange (new to us), a red and because one of our group had a birthday, a special family bubbly. All went well with the food including our truffle discoveries.

Wonderful experience!

Annalura and her dog Dodo gave us a unique experience. Beautiful and entertaining was the truffle search. Rich in competence and passion were Annalaura's stories. Maria's cooking was excellent and she prepared dishes with the truffles she found in the morning. Really recommended!
