Day at a riding school to discover horses in the province of Ravenna

Unity is strength.

Our guide horses, who live in a group in a semi-wild state, teach us this. And you will prove it too: together with new companions, you will experience riding life working as a team. You will also learn about horses, how to ride and how to ride English.

An experience to live and share, with lunch included!

What we will do

The appointment is at 09:00 a.m. at the meeting point in Faenza (RA). We will be welcomed by the guide who will accompany us on this adventure!

Having gathered all the participants, we will exchange the first chats over breakfast: homemade cakes and coffee, to start getting to know our fellow adventurers.

These include, above all, the horses, which we will join shortly afterwards. The experience will begin with a ground approach during which we will get to know the horse, understand its behaviour and communicate with it. We will also clean, brush and saddle the horse in preparation for the experience, just as a real rider would! This moment will last approximately 40 minutes.

We will then enter the field for the riding lesson. This will be customised according to the participant's riding experience, so we can learn the basics or improve our riding, all thanks to the guide's teachings and advice. This moment will last approximately 1 hour.

And if the guide deems it appropriate, the experience will continue with a horseback ride in the vicinity of the equestrian centre, along the banks of the Montone river, to put into practice what has been learnt and experience the feeling of freedom that only a ride in nature can give! This moment will last about 1 hour or will be replaced by an extension of the riding lesson.

Once we have dismounted from the horse and said goodbye to our faithful companion, we will walk to the owners' house nearby. We will be their guests for lunch, which we will all prepare together: the menu includes a first course, a second course with side dish and a dessert, accompanied by water and wine. Lunch will be based on local and seasonal produce, which we will cook together with the hosts. And eating what we have prepared together will be even tastier!

The experience will last about 6 hours in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for 12 years and over. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied to the meeting point by a legal representative.

A maximum weight of 100 kg is required to participate.

The experience is of an easy level and suitable as a first approach to horses.

Other information

The experience takes place from April to October.

Mobile phone use will not be permitted during the experience.
