Thinking back to your childhood, the nursery rhyme of San Martino Campanaro will certainly come to mind.
Perhaps you don't know that this story originates (literally) from the waters of Lake Viverone, the main stage of our 1.5-hour horseback ride to discover the Palafitte di Azeglio.
Let our equestrian guide lead you through wooded paths to the lake shore and let yourself be enchanted, once again, by the legend of the bells of the sunken village!
What we will do
You will be met 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Azeglio (TO), where you will be welcomed by the equestrian guide together with the splendid horses of the stables.
The experience will begin with a short briefing during which you will learn the basics of horse riding. We will then be ready to saddle up and set off along the tarmac road out of the riding stable. After a while, we will venture onto a dirt track and then into the forest, where we will meet the pair of Loving Trees: two shrubs that join together, rising to the sky in an embrace.
Accompanied on the horizon by the hills of Viverone, Alice Castello and Anzasco, we will reach Lake Viverone. Legend has it that its waters guard a sunken village, whose bells can be heard when the wind blows from the Aosta Valley; yes, it is indeed the village of the nursery rhyme San Martino Campanaro!
Also located here are the Azeglio Pile-Dwellings: we will come across an ancient pile-dwelling village dating back to the Bronze Age, consisting of no less than 5,000 piles driven into the ground that have come down to us.
We will then return to the meeting point, for a total experience of 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 16.
The weight limit for participation is a maximum of 90 kg.
The activity requires no experience and is suitable as a first horse ride.
Participants will be asked to sign a liability waiver before the activity begins.

The experience is available all year round.
Caution. You must comply with the dress code requirement, which calls for long trousers and hiking or trainers.
Western riding is used.
Any accompanying persons may stay at the facility during the activity; dogs on a leash are allowed on the ranch.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; the facility has free indoor and outdoor parking.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
