This too awaits you on our horseback ride in Ruvo di Puglia: in the company of an environmental equestrian guide, you will ride along ancient paths through the hilly Apulian landscape.
And on your return, toast with a tasting of local products, homemade with love for their land!
What we will do
The appointment is at the selected time at the meeting point in Ruvo di Puglia (BA) . On site, we will meet the environmental equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure!
Having gathered all the participants, we will get to know the horses and proceed with the assignment. We will get to know the animal by stroking, brushing and saddling it in preparation for the experience. We will then mount the saddle, learn the basics of riding and all the useful information for a carefree experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride along ancient white roads dotted with farms and olive groves, retracing the history of the local shepherds. Far from the city chaos, we will listen to the silence of the Apulian countryside, interrupted by the call of a peregrine falcon or a hoopoe. And being about 400 metres above sea level, we will enjoy a unique panoramic view of the hills and the sea on the horizon! The horseback ride lasts about 1 hour.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point, where we will find a tasting of typical products waiting for us: bread, cheese and cured meats from the area, from the Murgian canestrello to spicy salami, accompanied by home-made wine. All homemade with love for their land!
The experience lasts a total of about 3 hours, but we can stay with the guide and his family at our leisure.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport. If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
