Full description

I wonder if the Etruscans used to have an aperitif.

You certainly will, if you join our horse ride in Vallebona: accompanied by an equestrian guide, you’ll ride through the stunning natural landscape of the Tuscia Viterbese region, discovering sights dating back to the Etruscan period.

And at the end, an aperitif featuring local produce!

What we will do

We’ll meet 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Vallebona, near Grotte Santo Stefano (VT) . Once there, we’ll meet the riding guide who’ll be accompanying us on this adventure!

Once all participants have gathered, we’ll meet the horses and mount up; for those arriving a little earlier, there’ll be an opportunity to help prepare and saddle the horses. The guide will then explain the basics of horse riding, which we’ll put into practice during a trial ride in the field. This part lasts about 15 minutes.

And now we’re ready for our horse ride: we’ll venture into the countryside of the Tuscia Viterbese region, in search of sights dating back to the Etruscan period. Along the way, we’ll spot, for example, the village of Montecalvello and other places of interest, depending on the duration of the horse ride you’ve chosen – either 1 or 2 hours.

Finally, we’ll return to the meeting point, where we’ll be greeted with an aperitif featuring local specialities: bruschetta topped with our own olive oil and cheeses from a nearby dairy, accompanied by a glass of local wine or other drinks.

The experience lasts a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes or 2 hours and 30 minutes, depending on the duration of the horse ride you have chosen.
