Full description
Visit the Veio Park with a horseback ride and escape the city to spend a few hours relaxing in close contact with nature.
The Veio Park is located north of Rome, near the lakes of Bracciano and Martignano. It is agreen oasis of about 15,000 hectares, home to a great variety of animal and plant species.
To explore it, there is nothing better than a horseback ride with an equestrian guide who will lead you on a route suited to your level. And at the end you will conclude with a farm lunch based on local products, included in the price!
What we will do
The rendezvous is at the Campagnano di Roma stables, which can be reached in about 40 minutes by car from the capital, near the lakes of Bracciano and Martignano.
We will immediately get acquainted with the equestrian guides and the horses. If this is our first experience, we will have a short basic lesson on riding before setting off, otherwise a quick introductory briefing and we will be ready for the tour in the park.
We will ride peacefully along trails surrounded by nature on our way to thefarm that will host us for lunch, offering a full menu (excluding drinks) based on regional products that vary according to seasonality.
The total experience will last about 2.5 hours, including 1 hour on horseback.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone. The important thing is to be at least 5 years oldand weigh no more than 100 kg.
Experience on horseback is not necessary.
Other information
The activity can be carried out all year round, weather permitting. For minors, the use of helmets is compulsory.
The menu is based on products and dishes that vary according to the season (more details will be provided at the time of booking, if requested). In the event of intolerances, allergies or special dietary requirements, please send a note. Drinks are not included.
It is not possible to bring backpacks or bags on the excursion. Horses are equipped with saddlebags in which to place small personal items such as mobile phones, wallets and keys.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport, but a free shuttle service is available from Campagnano Romano and a paid shuttle service is available from Rome at a cost of €50.00 each way: contact the guide at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to request the service.
