Full description

Enjoy a horseback ride in the beautiful setting of the Aosta Valley Alps. Discover an environment still largely unspoilt environment and get to know a splendid animal, with whom you will have a wonderful experience in contact with nature.

An experienced instructor will teach you how to ride a horse, explaining the basic techniques for enjoying a ride in total peace and safety. In the saddle of your new friend, you will move around the riding school, on farm roads and paths that open up to magnificent views of the surrounding valleys.

If you have always dreamed of horse riding and have never done it, or if you simply want to immerse yourself fully in the traditions and nature of the Aosta Valley, this is the right experience for you!

What we will do

The meeting point is at the riding school in Vetan, a hamlet of Saint Pierre, a beautiful municipality not far from Aosta and easily accessible from the main roads and motorways. We will be welcomed by instructors and accompanying equestrian tourism guides, qualified and ready to introduce us to the joys of riding.

After a short visit to the farm, we will get to know the horses, kept free on their own pasture, perfectly trained and able to facilitate even inexperienced riders. The first contact with animals is always a great thrill, especially for the little ones! The guides will show us how to approach them in the best possible way, without unnerving them and trying to establish an understanding at first sight.

Before riding, we will have a short theoretical lesson on the key concepts of horse riding, learn the basic commands and how to behave in every situation. After that, the instructors will help us position ourselves on the horse's back and we will set off for the ride.

We will ride for about an hour along a route adjacent to the riding school, on quiet paths and farm roads with almost no traffic. The route may vary depending on the participants' level of experience, but in any case it will be free of technical difficulties and mainly scenic.

On the return journey, we will be able to spend some more time on the estate, witnessing thecattle being cared for, the milk processing for the production of DOP fontina cheese and other dairy products, and fully immersing ourselves in the rural life of the local people.

The activity lasts a total of about 1 hour and a quarter, between a theory lesson and a walk.
